Ingredients:
- 1/4 cup strawberry jam or strawberry pie filling
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 (8 oz) can refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Optional: egg wash (1 egg + 1 tbsp water), powdered sugar for dusting, or a simple glaze
Directions:
Preheat the Oven:
Heat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
Make the Filling:
In a small bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
Assemble the Crescents:
Unroll the crescent dough and separate into triangles.
On the wide end of each triangle, place about 1 teaspoon of the cream cheese mixture and 1/2 teaspoon of strawberry jam.
Carefully roll from the wide end to the point, encasing the filling. Place seam-side down on your prepared baking sheet.
Optional Egg Wash:
Lightly brush the tops with egg wash for a shiny, golden-brown finish.
Bake:
Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the crescents are puffed and golden.
Cool and Top:
Let cool for a few minutes. Dust with powdered sugar or drizzle with glaze made by mixing 1/2 cup powdered sugar, 1–2 tsp milk, and a splash of vanilla.
