Ingredients

  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Mix the dough:
In a medium bowl, combine the peanut butter, sugar, and egg. Stir until the mixture is smooth and fully combined. The dough will be thick and slightly sticky.
  3. Shape the cookies:
Scoop about 1 tablespoon of dough and roll it into balls. Place them on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  4. Create the classic pattern:
Use a fork to gently press down on each ball, creating a crisscross pattern on top.
  5. Bake:
Bake for 8–10 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden. The centers may look slightly soft — this is normal.
  6. Cool:
Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely. They will firm up as they cool.
