Ingredients:

  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon sugar (white, brown, or coconut sugar)
  • A pinch of salt
  • 2 ripe but firm bananas, sliced thin
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil or melted coconut oil

Step-by-Step Instructions:

1. Preheat the Air Fryer:
Set the air fryer to 350°F (175°C) to ensure the chips crisp up quickly without becoming too dry.

2. Slice the Bananas:
Use a sharp knife or mandoline to slice the bananas into thin, even rounds (about 1/8 inch thick) for uniform cooking.

3. Coat with Flavor:
In a bowl, mix the oil, sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Gently toss the banana slices to coat them evenly, being careful not to break them.

4. Arrange in the Basket:
Place the coated banana slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Avoid overcrowding; work in batches if necessary.

5. Cook:
Air fry the slices for 10–12 minutes, flipping halfway through. Keep an eye on them after 8 minutes to avoid burning, as cooking time may vary depending on your air fryer.

6. Cool and Crisp:
Let the chips cool completely on a wire rack or parchment paper. They will crisp up more as they cool down.
