Ingredients:

  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 4 large russet potatoes
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
  2. Prepare the Potatoes
Scrub the potatoes clean under running water and dry them off with a paper towel. Leave the skin on for extra texture and flavor. Slice each potato into thin, even slices, but don’t cut all the way through. The slices should be spaced about 1/8 inch apart to create that classic “scored” look.
  3. Season the Potatoes
In a small bowl, mix together olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Brush this flavorful mixture generously over the potatoes, ensuring it gets into the spaces between the slices.
  4. Bake the Potatoes
Place the seasoned potatoes on the prepared baking sheet and transfer them to the oven. Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the potatoes turn golden brown and crispy. To test doneness, gently insert a fork into the center of a potato – it should easily slide in.
  5. Serve & Enjoy
Once the potatoes are done, remove them from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes. Serve them as a savory side dish or a crispy snack. The delightful, crispy texture is sure to impress!
