Not every great recipe requires you to cook from scratch. This is one of those glorious shortcuts that still delivers a mouthwatering meal with minimal effort. With just five simple ingredients and your trusty slow cooker, you can whip up a dish that tastes like it was sent straight from heaven—or maybe it’s just because it’s served over angel hair pasta. Either way, you’re in for a treat.

This recipe makes enough to feed a crowd, but you can easily scale it down if needed. And you won’t believe how easy it is. Ready? Let’s go!

Ingredients:

  • 6 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup white wine
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 packet Italian dressing mix
  • Cooked angel hair pasta

Instructions:

  1. Arrange the Chicken:
Start by placing the six chicken breasts in your slow cooker. Boneless and skinless works best here.
  2. Make the Sauce:
On your stovetop, combine the cream cheese, butter, white wine, cream of chicken soup, and the packet of Italian dressing mix in a saucepan. Heat over medium, stirring until the mixture is melted and smooth.
  3. Cook:
Pour the creamy sauce over the chicken in the slow cooker. Close the lid and cook on low for 4 to 6 hours. If you prefer more shreddable chicken, go for 6 hours, but 4 hours will do the trick too. It’s nice to have some flexibility, right?
  4. Serve:
Once the chicken is tender and the sauce is irresistibly creamy, serve it over a bed of angel hair pasta. You’ll have a complete meal with tender, juicy chicken and a savory sauce that pairs perfectly with the delicate pasta.

And the best part? It took you only about six minutes to prep. Sent from the angels? You decide!
