Ingredients

  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 250g wheat flour
  • 100g melted butter
  • 200g of sugar
  • 1 tablespoon of baking powder
  • 50g chocolate powder

Preparation Method

  1. Preheat & Prepare the Pan:
    Set the oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease a cake pan with butter to prevent sticking.
  2. Mix the Base Batter:
    In a large bowl, beat the eggs with the sugar until the mixture is light and creamy.
  3. Incorporate the Liquids:
    Add the melted butter and milk, stirring until fully combined.
  4. Add the Dry Ingredients:
    Sift in the wheat flour and baking powder, mixing gently until you get a smooth batter.
  5. Divide & Flavor:
    Separate half of the batter into another bowl and mix the chocolate powder into one portion, blending well.
  6. Layer the Batter:
    Pour the plain batter into the greased pan first, then add the chocolate batter on top in an alternating pattern.
  7. Create the Marble Effect:
    Use a fork to swirl the batters together gently in circular motions for a marbled look.
  8. Bake to Perfection:
    Bake for about 40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
