Cheese Sauce for Crispy Fries

Ingredients:

  • 150 g Cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon mustard (optional)
  • 200 ml whole milk
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Roux
    In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the flour and whisk continuously for about 1 minute until smooth.

    Lower the heat and stir in the grated Cheddar cheese until fully melted. Add mustard, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
