Ingredients:

For the Pasta:

  • 8 ounces pasta (penne or spaghetti works well)

For the Beef & Sauce:

  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • ½ cup beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

For Garnish:

  • Fresh chopped parsley

Preparation:

Brown the Beef

Start by heating 2 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Once melted, add the ground beef and cook until browned and crumbled, about 5-7 minutes. As the beef cooks, break it into small pieces for an even texture.

Sauté the Garlic and Onion

Add the chopped onion to the pan and cook for 3-4 minutes until softened and translucent. Next, add the minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Be careful not to overcook the garlic, as it can turn bitter.

Season It Right

Sprinkle in the dried Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Stir well to coat the beef and onions with seasoning.

Add the Broth and Cream

Pour in the beef broth and gently stir, scraping up any bits stuck to the bottom of the pan for extra flavor. Then, slowly pour in the heavy cream, stirring everything together before bringing it to a simmer.

Cook the Pasta

Toss in the pasta, ensuring it’s fully submerged in the creamy mixture. Stir occasionally and reduce the heat to low. Cover and let the pasta cook in the sauce for 10-12 minutes until al dente.

Finish with Parmesan

Once the pasta is cooked and the sauce has thickened, sprinkle in the grated Parmesan cheese. Stir until fully melted and the sauce is smooth and creamy. For a spicy touch, add some crushed red pepper flakes.

Garnish and Serve

Sprinkle fresh parsley on top for a bright finish. Serve immediately with garlic bread or a simple side salad. Enjoy your rich, comforting pasta dish!
