Ingredients:

For the Fish:

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 4 white fish fillets (cod, tilapia, haddock, or any firm white fish)

For the Lemon Butter Sauce:

  • ½ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Juice of 1 large lemon
  • 1 teaspoon honey (optional, for a slight sweetness)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Fish
Pat the fish fillets dry with paper towels.
Rub with olive oil and season both sides with salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder. Set aside.

Step 2: Make the Lemon Butter Sauce
In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
Add the garlic and sauté for 30 seconds.
Stir in lemon juice, zest, honey (if using), and red pepper flakes.
Simmer on low for 1–2 minutes until slightly thickened.
Remove from heat and stir in fresh parsley.

Step 3: Cook the Fish
Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and drizzle with olive oil.
Cook the fillets for 3–4 minutes on each side, until golden and flaky.
Spoon half the lemon butter sauce over the fish before removing from the pan.

Step 4: Serve and Enjoy
Transfer to a plate and drizzle with remaining lemon butter sauce.
Garnish with parsley and lemon slices.
Serve immediately with your favorite sides.
