Ingredients
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 package (14 oz) Oreo cookies, finely crushed
- 12 oz milk or dark chocolate, melted
- 12 oz white chocolate, melted
- Red and green sprinkles or colored icing for decoration
Instructions
Prepare the Oreo Mixture:
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the finely crushed Oreo cookies and softened cream cheese.
- Mix thoroughly until the mixture becomes a dough-like consistency. You can use your hands or a spoon to help combine the ingredients fully.
Form the Balls:
- Scoop out about 1 tablespoon of the Oreo mixture and roll it into a small ball with your hands. This will make about 24 Oreo balls, depending on the size you choose.
- Place the formed balls on a parchment-lined baking sheet to prevent them from sticking.
Chill:
- Refrigerate the Oreo balls for about 30 minutes, or until they are firm enough to handle. This will help the balls hold their shape when you coat them in chocolate.
Coat in Chocolate:
- Once the Oreo balls have chilled, dip them into the melted white chocolate or milk/dark chocolate, depending on your preference.
- Use a fork to lift the balls out of the chocolate, allowing any excess chocolate to drip off. Place the coated balls back on the parchment-lined baking sheet.
Decorate:
- Before the chocolate sets, drizzle the Oreo balls with red and green icing or sprinkle with Christmas sprinkles for a festive and colorful finish.
Set:
- Let the chocolate harden by allowing the Oreo balls to set at room temperature or placing them in the fridge for quicker results.
Serve and Enjoy:
- Store the Oreo balls in an airtight container in the refrigerator until you’re ready to serve. They’ll keep for up to a week, but trust me, they won’t last that long!
