Ingredients:
- 1 onion, thinly sliced
- 1 or 2 garlic cloves, minced
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 potatoes, peeled and diced
- 1 package of fideo pasta
- 2 Knorr chicken flavor cubes
- 1 tomato, diced
- Oil for cooking
- 1 package of ground beef
How to Make It:
Step 1: Prepare the Ingredients
- Dice the tomato and slice the onion thinly.
- Mince the garlic and set aside.
- Peel and dice the potatoes into small pieces.
Step 2: Toast the Fideo
- Heat a small amount of oil in a large pan over medium heat.
- Add the fideo pasta and stir frequently until it turns golden brown.
Step 3: Add Vegetables and Seasoning
- Once the fideo is golden brown, mix in the diced tomato, half of the sliced onion, and minced garlic.
- Stir well to combine flavors.
Step 4: Add Water and Bring to a Boil
- Pour enough water to cover the fideo.
- Add the Knorr chicken cubes for extra flavor.
- Bring to a boil and let it cook for a couple of minutes.
Step 5: Add Potatoes and Ground Beef
- While the water is boiling, add the diced potatoes.
- In a separate pan, brown the ground beef over medium heat, breaking it into small pieces.
- Once fully cooked, drain excess fat and add the beef to the pot with the fideo and potatoes.
Step 6: Simmer Until Potatoes Are Tender
- Reduce heat to low, cover, and let everything simmer until the potatoes are soft.
- Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Step 7: Serve and Enjoy!
- Serve warm with your favorite toppings—cheese, fresh cilantro, or a squeeze of lime.
- Pair with warm tortillas for an extra comforting meal.
