Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs pork ribs (baby back or spare ribs)
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar (optional, for tang)
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil (optional)
  • Green onions and sesame seeds for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. Cut the ribs into individual portions (2–3 ribs per piece) and season lightly with black pepper.
  3. Place the ribs on a foil-lined baking sheet, covering with another layer of foil. Bake for 2–2.5 hours until tender.
  4. While the ribs are baking, combine honey, soy sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, apple cider vinegar, and sesame oil in a small saucepan. Cook over medium heat for 5–7 minutes until the mixture thickens slightly.
  5. Remove the ribs from the oven, discard the foil, and brush them generously with the honey garlic glaze.
  6. Turn the oven to broil, placing the ribs under the broiler for 3–5 minutes until the glaze caramelizes. Watch carefully to avoid burning.
  7. Brush with any remaining glaze and sprinkle with green onions and sesame seeds. Serve warm.

Pro Tips for Success:

  • For extra tender ribs, parboil them for 10 minutes before baking.
  • Finish on the grill for a smoky flavor instead of broiling.
  • Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days and reheat in the oven or microwave.
