Ingredients:

  • ½ cup shredded Asiago cheese
  • 1 lb fresh asparagus, trimmed
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)
  • 3 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Directions:

  1. Prepare the Asparagus:
    Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Lay the trimmed asparagus on a baking sheet, drizzle with olive oil, add minced garlic, and season with salt and pepper. Toss everything together to coat evenly.
  2. Roast:
    Spread the asparagus out in a single layer and roast for 12–15 minutes, or until just tender and lightly crisp on the ends.
  3. Add the Toppings:
    Remove from the oven and sprinkle the roasted asparagus with the crumbled bacon and shredded Asiago cheese.
  4. Broil for Melty Goodness:
    Turn the oven to broil and place the tray back in for 1–2 minutes, just until the cheese is melted and bubbling. Keep a close eye on it to avoid burning.
  5. Garnish & Serve:
    Sprinkle with fresh parsley if desired and serve immediately while warm and cheesy.
