Ingredients:

For the Cake:

  • 1 box Devil’s Food cake mix
  • 1 box (3.9 oz) instant chocolate pudding
  • 5 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup sour cream or buttermilk
  • 3/4 cup brewed coffee
  • 2 cups Nestlé Toll House chocolate chips

For the Ganache Icing:

  • 1 stick salted butter
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1/2 box powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3 tbsp milk
  • 1/2 cup pecan pieces

Instructions:

  1. Preheat & Prep: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a bundt cake pan.
  2. Mix Cake Batter: Combine cake mix, chocolate pudding mix, eggs, vanilla extract, vegetable oil, sour cream (or buttermilk), and brewed coffee. Fold in chocolate chips.
  3. Bake: Pour batter into bundt pan and bake for 45 minutes. Cool for 10 minutes.
  4. Make Ganache Icing: Melt butter in a saucepan over low heat. Stir in cocoa, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and milk until smooth. Add pecans.
  5. Assemble: Pour ganache over warm cake. Serve with vanilla ice cream, if desired.
